🌾 4-Day Rural Youth Immersion | Ages 12–17

This school holidays, we’re running a 4-day immersive rural program for young people aged 12–17 who are finding life tough, feeling stuck, or struggling to stay motivated and positive.

This is real farm life — not a holiday camp.

Set on working rural land, young people will camp onsite and take part in hands-on, practical activities that reflect real work in the agricultural and animal industries. Mornings start early. Jobs need doing. Animals rely on you. Teams have to work together. This is about connection without the Wi-Fi and a digital detox to support health and wellbeing. Young people learn self-worth, respect, resilience, flexibility, and self-awareness.

Over four days, participants will be involved in:

  • horse handling and riding
  • cattle work and yard skills
  • dog training and animal handling
  • animal training foundations and husbandry
  • fencing and basic farm maintenance
  • introductory archery (focus, discipline, self-control)
  • teamwork, responsibility and shared camp duties

This program is about building capability, not entertaining.

Young people are trusted with responsibility, supported by experienced facilitators, and encouraged to push through discomfort, problem-solve, and back themselves.

For some, this experience can open a pathway into agricultural, animal or land-based work. For others, it’s about learning that they can show up, work hard, and be part of a team.
