Outback Instincts Ltd is a child-safe organisation. We are committed to creating environments where children and young people are safe, supported and respected, and where their wellbeing is central to everything we do.
We have zero tolerance for abuse, harm or neglect and are committed to safeguarding the physical, emotional and cultural wellbeing of all children and young people engaged in our programs. We actively promote environments that are safe, inclusive and empowering, and we value diversity across all communities we work with.
Outback Instincts takes all safety concerns and allegations seriously. Any concerns regarding a child or young person’s safety are responded to promptly and in line with our policies and procedures. We recognise our legal and moral responsibilities to report concerns to relevant authorities where required.
All staff, contractors and volunteers are subject to clear recruitment, screening and induction processes, including appropriate background and working-with-children checks, with child safety as a core focus.
Everyone involved with Outback Instincts has a responsibility to understand their role in protecting children and young people, and to ensure that child safety, wellbeing and best interests guide all actions and decisions.
